CSS vs. Tabled Designs

August 10, 2004 · 1 minute read

Designing web pages is a passion. I might even go as far as calling it an obsession. I’ve designed many pages, when it comes to using CSS and doing it right. I become the perfect perfectionist. It really gets too me when people are too lazy to solve design problems and revert to tables.

I’ve tried to convince my clients the benefits of tableless designs.

When I get done explaining the advantages I get two responses: “Duh.. what did you say” or “Prove it”

Well now I can! Stop Design has a great write-up on using tables vs. CSS. I actually wrote something like this in college, but Stop Design’s is much better and really drives the point home. Here is the article.
