Enterprise Cancelled!

February 6, 2005 · 1 minute read

I as long as I can remember I have watched Star Trek. I remember at 5 years old watching Kirk and Spock explore other worlds. When “Star Trek Generations” came on the air I was a little skeptical. It turned out to have the same magic as The Original Series.

Deep Space Nine — I didn’t watch until the third season. How much can happen on a space station? Turns out a lot, at least the writers for Deep Space Nine thought so.

Voyager, I watched from the start. It was great; very few episodes left you unsatisfied.

From the beginning Enterprise lacked chemistry. Watch Star Trek Generations, the Original Series and Deep Space Nine, when the cast are laughing they aren’t because their characters are laughing, they are laughing because they are laughing. The synergy radiates to the audience.

Enterprise lacks this chemistry. Look at all the successful series: Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld… etc. The cast enjoyed working together. It was like a second family.

I am sadden Enterprise was cancelled; I look forward to future endeavors from the Star Trek Franchise.
