My 69 Ford Galaxie 500

In 1997 I moved from Alaska to California. My dad gave me a Ford Galaxie to drive in college.

The car was decorated in a field with 4 flat tires, dust and cobwebs. My dad and I spent hours making it drivable. We fixed the flat tires, the gas tank, the steering, the radiator, the brakes… it was a mess.

7 years later I am still driving it. It’s just as strong as it was in 97.

Every where I go I get compliments on my car. I’ve heard story after story about Ford Galaxies. How mine reminds them of their childhood or 25 years ago when they lived in Minnesota and having to wake up 30 minutes early to de-ice their Galaxie.
