A friend recently told me that I was a better writer than she, because I used bigger and more complicated words. After pondering this for a while, I have come to the conclusion that better writers may use bigger more complicated words, but that’s not what makes them better writers. It’s the ability to convey their message in a simplistic understandable way so it can clearly be understood.

Ignore Eolas

Since Eolas sued Microsoft for violation of it’s patent I have been pondering if it really matters – sure everyone has been up in arms saying how it going to create inaccessible website and it’s going to retard the web design industry for years to come. But what if everyone ignored this guy and his one man company? What would he do? Sue millions of copyright infringing browser users? Currently, the RIAA is trying to tackle this problem with little overall success.
